| Vaccine opposition is dropping, a new poll shows. |
| The latest Axios-Ipsos Coronavirus Index, released Tuesday, finds only one in five Americans say they're not likely to get vaccinated, the lowest level since the start of the index. |
| The percentage of Americans who stand in hard opposition to getting the vaccine has also dropped to its lowest reported levels at 14% of U.S. adults. |
| The changes are particularly noteworthy among parents: 68% now say they're likely to get their children vaccinated and 31% oppose vaccinating their children. |

| Today's numbers: The U.S. has reported more than 38.8 million COVID-19 cases and 637,600 deaths, according to data from Johns Hopkins University. Worldwide, there have been more than 216.7 million cases and more than 4.5 million deaths. About 62% of people in the U.S. have received at least one vaccine shot, and about 52% are fully vaccinated, according to the CDC. Among U.S. adults, 74% have received at least one shot, and about 63% are fully vaccinated. |
